Spytector keylogger (or “server”) can be installed on computers with many operational systems, namely, Windows 2000/Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 10 (both 32-bit and 64-bit). At the beginning of installation process, the EndUser License Agreement (EULA) should be ticked. Otherwise, the user would be unable to configure the installation directory, shortcuts (Quick Launch, Start Menu, Desktop) and Add/Remove Program list. If you don’t want the mentioned options, choose portable/standalone version. Among many “server” setting are “server” name, icon, log delivery options, logfile size, keylogger filter. After finishing the settings, the “server” is created by clicking the Build Server button. The built server can also be unistalled by pressing preset or standard default hotkeys (CTRL+SHIFT+F1).
In addition to traditional keylogger functions (tracking all PC user activities and delivering logs) this advanced product can store passwords used in latest versions of Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera, FireFox, Safari, Outlook, GoogleTalk, Windows Live Messenger and others. It intercepts whole chats (both sides) in such popular applications as MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AIM.
The user can easily choose for the interface one of 7 skins and one of three languages (English, French, Portuguese). The “server” icon can be altered to one of small built-in ones or external bigger. The last are preferable because antiviruses mainly detect spy programs with smaller icons. Actually, the keylogger is perfectly hidden and highly undetectable.
With the help of keylogger filter the user may specify websites and applications for monitoring or for blocking (access to them will be restricted/blocked). This is done on the Server Options panel – just click Configure button and set the appropriate filters.
Security requirements are fully met in the program: the access to Spytector can be password protected, the logfiles can be transferred to email and FTP addresses seriously encrypted. These logs might as well be sent decrypted (as plain text)- up to user’s choice. Also, Spytector features a handy option of testing logs delivery via Email and FTP – there’s a special Test Button in both windows (Email Settings and FTP Settings).
One more strong point - this software is not computer-intensive.
Although Spytector is unable to record audio, video files and screenshots, it is one of effective and easy-to-use products on the market.
