SMARTWATCH CAN BE USED AS A KEYLOGGER.
by Maria Nefedova
A French student Tony Beltramelli has recently released his new paper in which he has proved the incredible idea. By his concept, your smartwatch or fitness tracker could give hackers a possibility to see what you type on your PC or home security system.
Bertralli created a code that can receive motion data from Sony SmartWatch3 and after complex analysis make a guess about what the wearer has typed. Theoretically, the hackers could track any device used by the wearer. Any way out proposed? The only one mentioned by the author is to wear your smartwatch on the arm that is less preferred thus reducing the potential risk.
This research can start a new trend in keyloggers industry with more hacking methods. Moreover, with the source codes for this application released by the student on GitHub public resource, this spy program can also be created by many IT- advanced smart developers.
