| Description from developers |
eBlaster is the easiest way to monitor Internet and computer activity on a personal computer from a remote location. eBlaster records computer activity, scans for keywords, and blocks inappropriate web sites and instant messaging contacts. It reports back to you by sending secret email containing:
- Activity Reports showing everything that happened on the computer.
- Entire email messages sent or received at the computer.
- Complete chat or instant messaging conversations.
- Notification that a Keyword was found.

eBlaster 2010 build 3132 Review |
Advantages:
- Grouping of the intercepted information into categories
- Great stealthiness level
- Both sides interception in messengers
- Configurable self-removal
- Pleasant to look at, user friendly interface
- Emails sent/received monitoring
Disadvantages:
- No visual surveillance
- Not enough URL interception level
- A bulk of steps to follow during the pre-installation
- Very weak file-activity monitoring
- No clipboard interception
Today we are reviewing the first non-shareware monitoring product on our website - eBlaster 2010 build 3132. So, let’s begin.
The process of installation is very simple, but unfortunately one needs to follow a lot of pre-installation screens in order to install the program. So, we agree to inform the user that he is being monitored, we accept the license agreement, put in the e-mail for registration and product serial number, we specify the e-mail for sending the reports to, we specify the password and the pop-up hotkey combination, turn on or off the express delivery of IM/Chat and the installation process begins. After installation is finished we are suggested to remove the eBlaster installation file, clear references to eBlaster from Internet Explorer and restart the PC – we perform all the steps.
After PC is started again we press the hotkey specified in the 4th pre-installation screen and put in the password into the appearing window. After that eBlaster Control Panel appears. It is pleasant to say that Interface part of eBlaster 2010 looks very pleasant to look at. There are 3 tabs in Control Panel, namely ‘Report Delivery’, ‘Sent Reports’ and ‘Reports of Recent Activity’ – choosing any of them shows the category in the main part of the Control Panel . The first one allows user to configure logs e-mailing, the second one shows the time of the sent reports, and the third one allows to view the recent activity report. What also should be emphasized is the quality of the reports –all the information is grouped into categories, information shown is clear to understand – reports are really good. The Control Panel of eBlaster also has 3 buttons at the top: ‘Settings’, that gives an access to the configuration screen of the monitoring process, ‘Uninstall’ and ‘Help’, that contains helpful information and allows to contact technical support.
As for the functionality we will start from pluses, as usual. They are: interception of both conversation sides in ALL the instant messages, interception of emails (both sent and received), availability of Parental Control functions, great filtering options and presence of such a rare function as ‘configurable self-removal’. So, there is a lot of advantages, and each of them adds eBlaster 2010 a lot of points in our comparison table. Unfortunately the program also has its disadvantages, that are: only one interface language, absence of fully-featured screenshots section (screenshot-making can be only configured for the keywords, specified in ‘Alert’ section), very weak file-activity monitoring(only opening and copying of the files is intercepted) and inability of eBlaster 2010 to intercept the clipboard content. It is also pity that such a good product intercept URLs visited only in Internet Explorer and Mozilla and doesn’t intercept system logon password.
As for the stealthness level – eBlaster is really good – there are no additional processes in Task Manager, no program groups or icons in Start menu and one the desktop, the program executable file is hidden greatly.
The program is designed to monitor the PC remotely, so it has a lot of specific parameters, such as ‘Forward All E-mails’, ‘Forward All Chat/IM’s’, ‘Forward Keyword Alerts’. Each of them allows to configure an immediate e-mailing of the event, specified in the name of the function.
Summing up we can say that eBlaster 2010 is one of the best products listed on our website (that is confirmed by its taking the 4th place in comparison table) that will come in handy to all the groups of users, especially for the ones, who always want to know what is happening on the PC when they are away.
